Disney Springs, Sarasota Springs, Christmas Day

As I mentioned in my previous post, we didn't have Christmas planned after we arrived in the Orlando metro area. All of our "stuff" was being stored in long term storage. Therefore, we had no Christmas tree, decorations, and a teeny apartment kitchenette with which to prepare any effort of holiday meals.

After we talked to our adult kids in Iowa on Skype, as well as our missionary son in Utah, there was nothing left to do. So we went to Disney World.

The Disney blogs reported Christmas Day to be one of the busiest days of the year. Well, we didn't have tickets, and no way were we going to pay for one day entry into the parks on the busiest day of the year, but we thought a trip to Disney Springs might be a good adventure to try, and we also decided, based on another Disney blogger's suggestion to explore the resort's hotels to look at Christmas decorations.

We were not disappointed.

Of course, the traffic at Disney Springs was a little busy, but having no obligations for the day, we told ourselves we would just take our time, and be patient.

When we got to the Disney Springs parking lot, there was one space left, and had our name on it, figuratively speaking.

Disney Springs was wall to wall people. Wall to wall decent people. Wall to wall orderly people. Everyone was polite, orderly, and it was not a problem to navigate through the wall to wall people because of it. We even had a few people offer to take pictures of our family...

Continuing on our walk through Disney Springs we discovered Sarosota Springs, which is a resort by Disney Springs that is equestrian theme with Victorian styled buildings, and has a beautiful walk way that borders a lake and water way that leads to the Sarasota Springs Golf course and other resort hotels. This walk way leads to the Sarasota Springs Nature Trail.

It was getting dark so we didn't go on the nature trail, but we did take a lot of time for pictures.....
